Here are a few important ways families can help their new puppy settle in:

Create a safe space. Provide a comfortable crate or designated sleep area where your puppy can feel secure and rest peacefully.
Establish a routine. Consistent feeding times, potty breaks, bedtime, and playtime help your puppy feel safe and understand what to expect.
Give plenty of love and reassurance. Your puppy needs gentle guidance, affection, and positive reinforcement as they learn about their new world.
Remember that everyone must be on the same page. Make sure all family members understand the rules, training expectations, and importance of consistency.
Keep up with veterinary care. Schedule wellness visits, follow your veterinarian's vaccination recommendations, and discuss proper nutrition and preventive care.
Understand that accidents and challenges are part of the process. Potty training takes time, and your puppy is learning every day. Celebrate the little victories and guide them through the difficult moments with kindness.
