At Milwaukee Doodles, the health, safety, and well-being of our puppies will ALWAYS come first. We know how exciting it is to meet your future best friend, and we appreciate how eager families are to visit their new babies. However, there is a very important reason why we wait until our puppies are at least six weeks old before allowing visits.
💕 Their immune systems are still developing. Young
puppies are especially vulnerable to infectious
diseases because their immune systems are not yet
fully developed. Even healthy-looking people can
unknowingly carry germs on their hands, clothing,
or shoes.
💕 Protection from serious illnesses. Diseases such as parvovirus can be extremely dangerous, especially for young puppies. Parvovirus can be brought into a home or kennel on contaminated shoes, clothing, or other objects. Limiting visitors helps reduce unnecessary exposure during these critical early weeks.
💕 Stress-free development. The first weeks of life are essential for a puppy’s growth, rest, nursing, and bonding with their mother and littermates. We want our babies to grow in a calm, clean, and secure environment without unnecessary disruptions.
💕 Responsible socialization matters. As puppies grow, we gradually introduce them to new experiences in a safe, age-appropriate way. Waiting until six weeks allows us to prioritize their early development before introducing the additional excitement of family visits.
💕 We are protecting your future family member! This policy is not about keeping our puppies from their future families. It is about being responsible breeders who put the puppies’ needs before our own convenience.
🐾 We ask for your patience and
understanding. Every day of growth matters
when you are raising a healthy, confident
puppy. We want your first meeting to be a
happy memory, not a risk we could have
prevented.
At Milwaukee Doodles, our puppies are loved
and cared for from the moment they are born.
We take our responsibility seriously because
these little babies are not just puppies to us —
they are someone's future best friend,
companion, and family member. ❤️🐶
Thank you for respecting our policies and helping us keep every little paw safe!
